Areas of Importance when taking driving lessons in Coulsdon

After you have been told what all the controls do. Your Instructor is now ready to get you driving. In fact many pupils have failed the test on this, so you should be able to understand this to be success and a safe driver. You will be taken to many areas known to your instructor that have the perfect conditions. You will need lots and lots of parked cars. The best area for meeting traffic would be the Clock house area.

Lesson Plan: Clutch Control

Cant stress how important C/C is. You will be taken to hilly areas such as Clock house or Rickman hill. To master clutch control you will have to combine your clutch pedal and gas pedal. The Biting point is a phrase you will hear a lot.
                

Lesson Plan: Roundabouts

The procedure to enter a roundabout can be confusing. Not to mention whilst on and exiting one. Mini roundabouts can be the same whilst being quiet different. Signal badly on a roundabout can cause confusion. But don’t worry our instructors will make sense of it all for you.

Lesson Plan: Junctions – Emerging and Entering

To be able to approach junctions safely and correctly you will need to perform something called – Mirror, Signal, Position, Speed and Look. You will be asked to perform junctions numerous times on all your lessons. Approach may well be hampered by parked cars, pedestrians or road signs.Coulsdon has many challenging junctions.

Lesson Plan: Pedestrian Crossings

The Brighton road, South and North of Coulsdon has many different types of crossings from Pelicans with flashing amber lights to staggered crossing. Pedestrian safely is paramount. They can do silly things but you will be taught the clues on anticipating their actions at crossings
